Sonocrete works by a unique process of ultrasound treatment of cement suspension prior to concrete mixing. Power ultrasound at lower frequencies with high intensities is used to induce cavitation in the cement suspension.
The power ultrasound initiates compression and rarefaction that over time initiates cavitation in the cement-water-mix. Over serveral cycles the bubbles expand, become unstable and collapse creating extreme forces at the bubble site.
This extreme force created by the Sonocrete process leads to increased hardening speed and thus improved early strength properties of the concrete.
